I nearly cried when reading through those pictures one at a time... "Out with the old" and I saw the mountains then "In with the new" and I saw the mountains were missing and a vacant lot with dozers moving stuff around. I thought that they had bulldozed the mountains. Not a nice thought. But I am curious now, what did they take out? some old houses?
Sorry. I wasn't trying to say they took out the mountains. Still there and I hope they stay!
They demolished an old school and are building a new one. Where we lived in NY, they just built new buildings right next to old, falling apart, uncared for buildings, and it looked terrible. I think the west is more open to fresh starts.
