We were parked on Carnation Drive, just west of Amaryllis Street. We planned to walk on the Sandy Canal Trail going south. First, I wanted to walk on the bridge heading toward the White City Trail, just to get a look down below at that part of Dimple Dell Regional Park.
While on the bridge, we saw a tiny red and white carnival tent down on the trail. We watched a runner stop and take a picture of it. Suddenly, I had to be down there taking a picture of the little tent too.
My daughter didn't really want to go down there. What we could see of the path looked like a slippery combination of mud and snow. I insisted. She was accommodating. We made it down without falling.
I'm sure the tent hadn't been there long. It's been windy and snowy off and on. The tent was fairly clean inside and out. I imagine someone put it up that morning. But why?!?
I loved it. It made me happy. Thank you to whoever put it there. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose day it made brighter.
