Just as we were leaving the cafeteria, we saw Dad Babcock. He was working (subbing) and on his lunch break, so we didn't get to talk for long. It was a pleasure to see him.
The Conference Center parking was more crowded than usual. We'd parked clear by the north elevators. After the session, we walked through Temple Square to avoid traffic. I don't remember seeing grass around the flower beds in the past. I wonder when they made that change. I'm guessing it's a less expensive alternative to filling them with flowers and it probably keeps the bees away from people who sit on the walls.
We usually prefer not to go downtown for our temple visits, but I'm glad we went today.

Mini Heirlooms
These are the size of ordinary cherry or grape tomatoes.
I'd never seen the green type before today, so I bought them.
They look like watermelon gumballs.
They are firm and a little less sweet in flavor than the yellow ones.
That's one cut open in the picture below.

Wild Cake
I made two cakes: one to give away and one to keep.
The first cake was a birthday cake. I put small flowers all over it, used one color of sprinkle per flower, and wrote "Happy Birthday!" in the middle.
On the second cake, I used up the left over frosting with one big flower and filled the petals with leftover sprinkles with no concern of precision or singularity of color.
If it was my birthday, I'd want the second cake.
