Outside Sammy's in ID

We drove up to Idaho and dropped her off at school this afternoon.
She said we had to stop at Sammy's for burgers and fries.

Enjoying Church Service

Eight girls ages 8-11, with each of their moms,
five leaders, and I went up the canyon to a cabin last night.
We ate the best tinfoil dinners I've ever eaten (add fresh green beans and beef and mushroom soup!), made bead bracelets, roasted caramel marshmallows for delicious s'mores, and sang very silly camp songs.

Since becoming primary president, I understand church leadership better.
None of us who serve (in any calling on up to the prophet) are power hungry.
We are called and we accept out of love for Heavenly Father and the people we serve.
We are given the opportunity to grow in sometimes very uncomfortable ways and also blessed in ways we couldn't imagine. Last night, spending time with these bright and loving people in this beautiful place was one of those blessings.

Thankful

We were on a walk through the neighborhood. It drives him crazy when sidewalks are impassable because people don't trim their bushes and trees.

"Serious encroachment on the sidewalk ahead," he warned.

"How dare they let something beautiful grow and block our path," I said. Then of course I stopped to take a picture or two.

I ran to catch up. "Thanks for pointing those out. I might not have noticed otherwise,"

I'm thankful for beauty and blessings even though sometimes they can be annoying.
